Adjust exposure, gain, focus, white balance, and other camera settings on an AI1 device in real time.
AI1 devices have a built-in USB camera whose settings you can adjust directly from Deployment Manager. Changes apply to the camera in real time, so you can tune exposure, gain, focus, and other parameters while watching the live stream preview.
Camera settings are only available for AI1 devices. Standard edge devices use external cameras configured at the stream level.
Navigate to your AI1 device in Deployment Manager and select the stream. The Camera Settings panel appears to the right of the live preview. Click "Edit" to begin adjusting settings.
While you are editing, the preview refreshes faster (roughly every 1.5 seconds) so you can see the effect of your changes quickly.
Camera setting changes are sent to the device automatically as you adjust them. A status indicator shows the current state:
"Saving..." while the setting is being written
"Saved" once the device has received the change (applies within approximately 10 seconds)
"Save failed" if the write did not succeed
Click "Done" when you are finished editing. Click "Reset" to revert any unsaved changes.
Set the camera exposure time in microseconds. The maximum value is 300 us to prevent frame rate degradation. If auto exposure is enabled, the manual exposure slider is disabled. Turn off "Auto Exposure" to set a specific value.
Controls the sensor gain (signal amplification). Higher values brighten the image but introduce noise. If auto gain is enabled, the manual control is disabled. Turn off "Auto Gain" to set a specific value.
Adjusts the overall image brightness.
Click "Calibrate Focus" to run the camera's autofocus routine. Expand the "Manual Focus" section to set lens position, distance, and direction manually. Use "Reset to Zero" to return the lens to its default position.
Toggle the LED on or off with the "LED Pattern" control. Use the "LED Brightness" slider to adjust intensity.
These settings are available in collapsible sections within the Camera Settings panel.
Adjust the red and blue white balance components. When "Auto White Balance" is enabled, manual values are disabled.
Controls for gamma, sharpness, saturation, hue, black level, and digital shift.
A 3x3 color correction matrix (CCM) for fine-tuning color reproduction.
Hardware trigger delay, GPIO debounce times for individual lines, and strobe enable/duration/delay settings.
Resolution and pixel format changes require a pipeline restart. After changing these values, click "Apply to camera" to restart the inference container with the new settings.
