Download a Dataset Version

To export a dataset from Roboflow, you must first create a Dataset Version. Then, you can download Dataset Versions from Roboflow in any supported export format.

Refer to the Download a Roboflow Universe Dataset documentation if you want to download a dataset from Roboflow Universe.

To download a Dataset Version, go to the Version that you want to download in the Roboflow dashboard. Then, click the "Download Dataset" button in the top left corner:

A window will appear from which you can choose the format into which you want to export your data, as well as whether you want to export your data as a ZIP file or a command.

If you choose the command option, you will be able to choose from a Python code snippet or a curl command to download your dataset.

The command-based download is ideal if you are working in a notebook environment.
